Rustic Charm with an Aga at its Heart
This inviting kitchen combines the tactile beauty of traditional materials with a timeless naturalistic palette. The bespoke cabinetry, hand-painted in muted greens and paired with the warm oak island worktop. The original feature terracotta floor tiles were a must keep, but with an extension added on to create an open plan space it was important the kitchen sat sympathetically between the old and new creating a harmonious flow.
The Aga was cleverly framed within a false chimney breast, sited to detract the eye from the new steel work and buttress pier that the extension required. The layout balances symmetry and function, we love the client's original wooden stools with their natural patina completing the look—creating a space that feels both timeless and delightfully lived-in.
